Safe Care

“Safe Care is different from other methods, as it shows us imminent gaps and recommends counter measures through the quality improvement plan. The best part is we don’t have to stick to international standards, it allows for local innovative solutions,” states Lucy King’ee, the facility incharge of Lolmolog Dispensary.

This methodology has also assisted the county rural health facilities prioritize activities using the Health Sector Services Fund (HSSF). “We were not running the facility in the right way. Safe Care helped us to establish our goals and set in motion interventions to improve ourselves. Now, our maternity is well prepared to handle emergencies as Pre-eclampsia, delivery and resuscitation kits are always ready. Improvement in waste management practices is also evident.

We are eager to move quickly to the next level and working in coordination with the PharmAccess team to improve quality standards of this facility” Lucy explains. See partner link: https://www.pharmaccess.org/
